Image of the Week: Adam Riley Photography

Some of you may have seen this image yesterday… I had asked on Twitter for photographers to send through any images of fireworks taken at weddings for a blog post. Photographer Adam Riley sent me a link to one of his blog posts and indicated I should look for the image at the end of the post… I have to say, I was very impressed. So much so that I decided not only to feature it in yesterday’s blog post about fireworks, but also to display it as image of the week. I love the colours and tones in this photograph, I love the way the light catches the people watching the firework display and also the clarity of the actual fireworks. The bride and groom must be absolutely thrilled with this photograph. It really is outstanding and I would like to point out that this is not an easy image to capture… the lighting situation would have been very tricky indeed and unless you know what you’re doing with a camera, this shot would most likely come out extremely fuzzy. This is a reason to hire a professional photographer because they can get shots that many others won’t. If you are fairly new to wedding photography and still finding your feet, this is definitely a standard you should be aiming for… a note to brides and grooms, if you can afford it, this is the standard of wedding photography you should be looking for to preserve your precious memories of your big day. Hopefully, this wedding blog has gone some way to showcase photographers of a certain standard and I like to think any of the photographers who’ve been featured will provide you with wonderful images.
